Graham van Wyk: A sociologist and educationalist
from South Africa, Graham sees Morokoro as an exciting opportunity to
contribute to supporting traditional boat-building skills in Southern
Africa among coastal, river and lake-side communities. Traditional crafts
and knowledge need not disappear when new opportunities can be developed
to sustain and develop them for the benefit of the local economy. Morokoro's
work with the boatbuilders of Mozambique will open up new possibilities
for economic and cultural partnerships. He will seek to develop new
markets outside Germany and develop Morokoros' contribution to the communities
its work will touch. He lives and works in Oxford, England. Distribution and Sales |
